Who is responsible

TopTenPlates is operated by Jose Salgado in Florida, United States. For privacy questions or requests, email [hello@toptenplates.com](mailto:hello@toptenplates.com).

Information you provide

If you subscribe, we receive your email address and subscription information, including confirmation and unsubscribe status. The signup form is hosted by Brevo; following the signup link takes you to that service.

If you email us, we receive your address, message and anything you choose to attach. Please do not send payment information, identity documents or sensitive medical details with a recipe question.

Browsing, preferences and service records

Our hosting service, Netlify, may process technical request information such as IP address, browser information, requested pages and timestamps to deliver and protect the website.

The site saves your metric or US measurement preference in your browser’s local storage under ttp-units. This preference stays in that browser until you change it or clear site data; the preference itself is not sent to our server. Recipe search runs in your browser using a downloaded search index.

The current website code does not load third-party advertising or audience-analytics scripts. This does not mean that hosting, email or external services keep no records.

Why information is used

We use subscription information to send the newsletter you requested, confirm subscriptions, manage delivery and honor unsubscribe requests. Contact messages are used to answer questions and investigate corrections. Technical records help deliver the site and investigate abuse.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, newsletter subscriptions rely on consent; responding to correspondence and protecting the service rely on legitimate interests, subject to your rights. Information may also be retained where a legal obligation requires it.

Newsletter and spam prevention

Brevo processes newsletter signups, delivery records, bounces and unsubscribe status on our behalf. Depending on the settings used for a newsletter, emails may include tracking pixels and tracked links that record opens and clicks to help measure readership. We do not promise that newsletter engagement tracking is disabled. You can block remote images in your email application to limit pixel-based tracking; this does not prevent tracking when you click a tracked link. You can unsubscribe at any time.

The hosted signup form uses Google reCAPTCHA to help distinguish people from automated submissions. It can process technical and interaction information, including IP address and browser/device information, for spam and fraud prevention. Google processes reCAPTCHA customer data under its service and data-processing terms.

You can unsubscribe using the link in a newsletter or by emailing us. Unsubscribing stops newsletter marketing; it does not necessarily erase the limited record needed to remember your opt-out.

Providers and external services

Information is handled by providers that support hosting, newsletter delivery, spam prevention and email correspondence. These include Netlify, Brevo, Google reCAPTCHA and the service handling our contact mailbox. Providers may process information outside your state or country.

External links, Pinterest sharing and any YouTube embeds involve separate services. A loaded video or an external service you open may receive technical information and use its own cookies or storage. Their handling of information is also described in their own notices.

Cookies, browser storage and tracking signals

You can clear site storage or adjust cookie settings through your browser. Clearing local storage resets your measurement preference. Blocking third-party services may prevent a signup form or video from working.

The website does not currently change its behavior in response to a browser Do Not Track signal. Third-party services may collect information about interactions with their services over time. This statement does not limit any privacy choice required by applicable law.

Retention and your choices

Newsletter contact information is retained while your subscription is active. After an opt-out, limited suppression and consent records may be retained to honor that choice and meet applicable obligations. Correspondence is kept for as long as reasonably needed to answer and follow up on your request or address a dispute. Provider logs and backups follow the relevant service settings and retention processes.

Email us to request access, correction or deletion of information associated with your address. Depending on the law that applies, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing, receive a portable copy or complain to a privacy regulator. We may need proportionate information to verify a request. Some records may need to be retained for legal or security reasons.

Children and changes

The newsletter is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly seek newsletter registrations from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.

Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Material changes will be brought to your attention where required. No website or email system can guarantee absolute security.
